If you have enthusiasm, energy, openness to working with children and young adults with learning disabilities and feel like a challenge then this might be the right opportunity for you.
Please be aware that we receive a high number of requests for volunteering and work experience opportunities. Whilst we try to accommodate as many placements as possible this may not always be possible.
Volunteers are welcome for short-term placements or for a regular weekly slot. To volunteer you will need to fill out an application form and provide the names of two people who can give you a reference.
Prior to a placement offer we would carry out an interview to give you the opportunity to visit the school and discuss what possible options.
SafeguardingWe take our responsibilities around safeguarding very seriously so all volunteers are carefully interviewed and selected to meet our students' needs. You will also be required to apply for enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service which will be arranged through the school.
NB: Unfortunately we are unable to accept relatives or siblings of current Critchill students or any young person under the age of 16.
