Learning outside the classroom

At Critchill, we recognise that children and young people learn in different ways. Therefore, we always ensure that lessons cater for a range of learning styles. We also value the opportunity for our pupils to transfer their learning to real life situations and contexts beyond the classroom.

Some of our Learning outside the classroom includes:

  • Community based learning
  • Catering Van
  • Allotment
  • External visits
  • Forest school
  • Opportunities to work with mainstream peers
  • Mini Police
  • Road safety lessons
  • Bike Workshop
  • Collaborative work with local agencies and partners
