Tortoise visit for Kestrels and Owls class

Learning in Kestrels and Owls Classes was brought to life this week with a visit from a friendly, old tortoise called Shelby! The classes have been reading "Darwin's Dragons" by Lindsay Galvin. The book centers around a Cabin boy named Syms Covington who is on the voyage of a lifetime to the Galapagos Islands with the world-famous scientist Charles Darwin. The Galapagos islands are famous for the Galápagos tortoise which is the largest living species of tortoise.
