Sally Smiles, Working Futures, Careers Leader at Critchill School has recently won Somerset Education Business Awards ‘Careers Leader of the Year Award 2023.’

The award recognises all of the hard work of Critchill School staff but in particular, the work that Sally does in supporting all students to reach their full potential and gain the valuable skills needed for the world of work. Sally’s drive, dedication and ambition for the pupils at Critchill is phenomenal. This year the school has seen her further embed a school wide careers programme, extend our links with local businesses and enabled the school to be selected to run a Supported Internship programme in partnership with The Shaw Trust. These are exceptional outcomes.

 

A huge congratulations to Sally and a big thank you to all of those who work with us as a school and support our ‘Working Futures’ programme.
