Owls class - July 2025
Owls class have been exploring mental health in their Critchill Code sessions and how volunteering, being around animals and being outside can improve your mental health. Emma and Acorn the chocolate labrador therapy dog, who volunteer for Dogs for Health, came to Critchill to visit Owls class
Emma talked to the class about Acorn and then all the pupils were given the opportunity to walk Acorn around the field and give her a range of commands asking her to sit, lie down or stand up. Everyone loved the visit and afterwards, Owls class expressed how much happier they felt after spending some time with Acorn.
