New Raised Beds for Critchill School - November 2025
As part of our Climate Action Plan, we are building new raised beds to give pupils hands-on experience in sowing, growing and caring for plants. The beds will be used to grow a variety of flowers, herbs and vegetables. This will help pupils learn about sustainability, food production and nature.
We have chosen an accessible site close to the school, allowing pupils to visit the beds regularly and be involved throughout the growing process. The beds will be constructed by Post 16 pupils using reclaimed scaffold planks. We would like to offer a huge thank you to Karl at Frome Reclamation for generously donating these materials.
